CREATE/UPDATE YOUR
LIBRARY ACCOUNT
- You must have a current library account to borrow
materials or to access our subscription research databases from remote
sites. Remote database access is limited to DMACC students, faculty,
and staff. Library accounts are valid for the current and following
semester, and may be renewed if you are still an eligible library user.
- DMACC students should acquire a
DMACC OneCard and
register it (using the link below) for library services. When
registering, use the barcode number on the back of the card. This card
is issued to all students as of the Fall 2008 semester. After your
OneCard is registered, it will then serve as your library card.
- If you have not yet been issued a DMACC OneCard, we
can create a library account for you and provide you with a temporary
library card.
- The DMACC Libraries participate in the State Library
of Iowa's Open Access program, which allows borrowing privileges to
cardholders at all participating libraries. If you wish to apply for
an Open Access card, you must do so in person at one of our campus
libraries.
OneCard Registration Online
- for DMACC Students and Staff:
- If you have a DMACC OneCard, fill out and submit a
Library OneCard Registration form. When your registration is
processed, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that you have access to
library services. You may also use this form to renew your library OneCard
registration.
Get a Library card Online - For DMACC Faculty:
- If you don't have a DMACC OneCard, fill out and submit a
Library Card
Application. When your application is processed, you will
receive an e-mail notifying you of your barcode number. Your library card
will be mailed to your home address. You may also use this form to renew
your library card or replace a lost card.
| Online submissions are normally processed in batches from
7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on
Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday when the Ankeny Campus library
is open. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays, and also evenings
and Saturdays during semester breaks. |
In Person:
- If you have a DMACC OneCard, bring it to your campus library to register for library
services.
- If you don't have a DMACC OneCard, bring a
picture ID (such as a driver's license) to your campus library to be issued a library card.
- If you are
applying for an Open Access card, bring a picture ID or your public library
card to the DMACC library nearest you.
